Deborah Woolen is an information technology professional who has managed projects for large and small companies, federal agencies, and nonprofits. Within those spaces, she consistently makes an impact in the areas of communication, organization, and research. Some of her most noteworthy accomplishments include communications support for the Lubricants and Specialties organization within ExxonMobil Corporation during Hurricane Katrina; overseeing change management for Freddie Mac’s deployment of the multimillion dollar mortgage platform, Pricing Execution;
and directing content development and delivery for the Federal Aviation Administration’s Annual ATO Safety Report and Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) Modernization and Recommendation Report.
Deborah currently services on a number of boards and commissions in Fairfax County, including the Civil Service Commission, Land Use Committee, and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court Citizens Advisory Council. She is also the Recording Secretary for the Fairfax County Democratic Committee, the largest Democratic committee in Virginia. Deborah is also the editor in chief of What She Said Magazine, the only magazine for and about Black women in politics. In this publication she highlights the accomplishments of Black women and their contributions to America's democracy.
